Overview
RoundTable is ForeFront's data
conferencing application that enhances your group meetings.
RoundTable provides the tools that let you conference with remote
users as effectively as you do when they're right across the
table. Tools that let you share information, exchange documents,
take notes, control access, mark up documents, and even pull the
Web into your meetings.
Not just a point-to-point solution, RoundTable
gives you effective, productive tools to support meetings with
many users, right out of the box.
RoundTable provides two-way real-time desktop conferencing
between your Internet-connected computer and a RoundTable
Conference Server. RoundTable improves personal productivity,
leverages your investment in Internet/Intranet connectivity,
eliminates frustrating cross-platform/cross-operating system
compatibility issues, and allows you to instantly communicate and
share with others.
RoundTable provides the most compelling
environment on the Web for both business collaboration and social
chat. RoundTable combines text-based chat with the ability to
dynamically share images, documents, URLs, video and audio in a
freeform work space or canvas. Shared information is seen
immediately - in real-time - by everyone participating in a
RoundTable chat session or work group.
Conduct project meetings with an international
department of 200 employees. Schedule a distance learning class
with 20 participants. Hold a private conference between two
colleagues. With RoundTable meetings are just a mouse click away.
Joining a RoundTable meeting is as easy as
following a link from a Web page. Visit ForeFront's Conference
Site to view the list of current meetings and click the link of
your choice to launch RoundTable and join that meeting.
RoundTable offers a user-friendly intuitive
interface and the best part is - it's free! Download
your free copy of RoundTable and experience real-time multimedia chat
for yourself.
Features
and Benefits
- Maximize your internet connection - automatic compression
of objects being shared helps you get every ounce out of
your connection and make real-time Internet conferencing
a reality today. No special hardware needed.
- Share information - RoundTable's "canvas"
window on your desktop is an real-time, shared container.
Whatever you place or draw on the canvas is immediately
seen by everyone else in the meeting, wherever they are
on your Intranet or on the Internet. You can instantly
share files from your desktop, images from your
clipboard, camera "snapshots" of another
program, and even pointers to pages on the
World-Wide-Web. More than a whiteboard, RoundTable offers
a full-featured text chatting capability, and drawing
tools to annotate the canvas.
- Improve productivity - Enhances other forms of
communication (fax, telephone, electronic mail, on-line
bulletin boards, etc.) with simple, intuitive, instant
sharing.
- Organized the way you work - provides an electronic
meeting room, with a shared canvas for exchanging
material, and a list of attendees. A perfect medium for
pulling together materials, distributing information,
providing customer support, training, and other
collaborative activities.
- Integrates into your environment - plug and play on a
variety hardware platforms and operating systems. Easy to
manage and simple to use, RoundTable requires no special
or dedicated hardware. Adds on easily to your existing
computing environment, and works alongside your other
programs.
- World-Wide-Web access - You can join a RoundTable meeting
from a pointer (URL) on a web page, and you can share web
pages with others by dropping page pointers on the
RoundTable canvas. RoundTable works with the web browser
you choose.
